Palm Fire Screen

This bird-of-paradise palm firescreen went from an old brass framed mirror to a statement piece. Knowlton & Ring applied pewter leaf to the frame and stripped the existing mirror to prepare for the new design. Techniques used include stenciling, galena mirroring, hand painting, gilding and antiquing. The reverse is gilded with 12k white gold leaf for a more subtle option.
